Verification policy

DeviceVeriq is an independent official-link guide. We do not host, mirror, repackage, or modify manuals, drivers, firmware, utilities, or applications.

Status rules

• draft: candidate needs research and should not be indexed.
• needs-recheck: official route found, but content-type/model/region/OS evidence needs final review and the page remains noindex.
• verified: official page, exact model or product-family target, content types, safety notes, and no-hosting policy reviewed.

Review checklist

• Official domain and redirect path match the manufacturer, vendor, or official platform.
• Model number, region, hardware revision, OS/platform, architecture, language, and release/version evidence are checked where visible.
• Manual, driver, firmware, utility, BIOS, app-store, SaaS/web-tool, and warranty/support intents are described separately.
• Vendor license, privacy, updater behavior, release notes, checksum, or signature evidence is recorded only when the official page provides it.

Firmware and driver caution

Firmware, BIOS, router updates, printer utilities, and OS-specific drivers can damage devices or create security issues if the wrong model or revision is used. Always confirm exact vendor instructions.

Search and category boundaries

Search filters are discovery tools, not verification. A result can appear for a content type because the record is a candidate for that support intent; the official page still decides exact OS, region, model revision, and file applicability.

Evidence boundaries

If a vendor does not publish checksums or signatures, DeviceVeriq will not claim that such vendor evidence exists. Self-computed hashes or redirect checks are auxiliary review notes only.

Correction workflow

If a link becomes stale or a model match looks wrong, the page should be corrected by re-checking the official domain, final URL, content type, model/revision, region, and indexing status before any sitemap update.

Product image policy

DeviceVeriq may use self-created generic category illustrations for identification context. Exact manufacturer product photos are not copied, mirrored, or hosted unless reuse rights are confirmed. When licensing is unclear, users are directed to the official vendor page for final visual comparison.
